How to Design a Home You’ll Love

Table of Contents

Loving your space is our top priority. There are so many aspects that go into designing a home. Today we are here to talk about the flooring aspect. There are a plethora of things to consider when looking for flooring here are a few thing we recommend to take into account when making your decision for what flooring you will be in your home.

Beautiful Look

We always recommend our customers look through inspiration photos so get an idea of what styles you look as well as the styles you don’t like. Pinterest is a great platform for saving inspiration. Home improvement professionals love Pinterest and we can’t recommend it enough. If you do create a Pinterest board with inspiration please bring it into our showroom and we can help bring your vision to life! We want you to find an aesthetic you’ll be obsessed with for years.

Up-keep

When choosing a floor type it is important to know what type of upkeep it requires. Make sure to ask what upkeep each flooring type requires so you know what will be required of you. If you hate chores choosing a flooring with minimal upkeep is definitely the way to go.

Durability

Flooring is an investment so durability is always a top consideration, especially for heavily trafficked rooms in your home. Make sure you are choosing more durable floors for the rooms you spend most of your time. For example, your kitchen floors should be the most durable because they will likely see the most wear.

Resale value

If you are upgrading your floors before selling your home or plan to sell your home at any point in the future we recommend going for a classic timeless look. Even if you don’t plan to sell your home you can never go wrong with a timeless look! This usually means a classic hardwood look which can be obtained not only with engineered hardwood but luxury vinyl and laminate also come in classic hardwood styles.

When it comes to designing your home we want you to feel confident in your flooring choice so you potentially never have to think about flooring again! So finding a flooring product that you’ll not only love but will last you for years.
